The blue boat left Alicante last Tuesday 17th and reached the Marina Rubicón in Lanzarote on Friday morning, where she will be based until September.

Iker is happy about these first offshore miles. “The trip went really well. Even though this is just the beginning and we have to keep our emotions under control, the sailing was great. Completing this trip without any issues is an important step for us - both the boat and the crew behaved very well.”

The skipper is also aware that the next five months will be crucial. “There is a lot to do but, most importantly, we seem to be on the right path. Being fully ready for the start is our objective.

We now have to work on our boat for her to last all around the world. We shall learn her tastes, her favourite sails and how to sail her.”
