Video / Man overboard on Scallywag, very fast operation to rescue the crew member
Crew member Alex Gough was washed overboard by a wave during a sail change. The team swung into recovery mode, and Gough was back on board within seven minutes, unharmed.

America's Cup / ETNZ Touchdown and take off in Bermuda
22nd April, 2017. Emirates Team New Zealand have today launched and sailed their ACC boat for the first time since arriving in Bermuda. Now, all six America’s Cup Class (ACC) boats that will be racing in the 35th America’s Cup have sailed on Bermuda’s waters so the competitive field is now complete ahead of the start of the action on 26th May.

America's Cup / ORACLE TEAM USA capsize its new America’s Cup Class boat (Video)
ORACLE TEAM USA capsized its new America’s Cup Class boat during training on Bermuda’s Great Sound on Saturday. No crew members were injured and early indications are that damage to the boat is limited. “We flipped over our new America’s Cup Class boat,” said skipper Jimmy Spithill at dockside about an hour after the capsize.

America's Cup / Artemis Racing’s development boat (AC45 Turbo) sustained beam damage whilst training
During Tuesday’s practice session, the Artemis Turbo AC45 (T2) suffered platform damage which lead to the wing falling into the water. No one was injured. The wing, one of their ACC wings, sustained minimal damage, and only the tip of the wing touched the water.

A hooter blast from the Australian Cruising Yacht Boat marked the start at exactly 13.00 local time (2.00 GMT) of the 71st Rolex Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race. The 108 boats taking part lined out at three start lines on a cloudy day and in 15-knot east, nor-easterly winds.

Record / Spindrift 2 crossed the Cape Horn (Video)
Spindrift 2 crossed the longitude of Cape Horn on Tuesday, December 22 at 08:09 GMT, with a nice westerly breeze of 20 knots after 30 days 04 hours and 07 minutes at sea since leaving Ushant: that equals an improvement of 18 hours 11 minutes on the record time set by Banque Populaire V. Dona Bertarelli, Yann Guichard and their 12 teammates will now head back up the Atlantic for one last 7000-mile dash.

Multi70 / "Our idea has been to try to get an oceanic trimaran flying offshore" for Gitana XV
In refit since her return from the West Indies back in December, the Multi70 Edmond de Rothschild left the cosy atmosphere of her technical base in Lorient this Wednesday morning to return to the liquid element.
