Land Rov​er BAR A​cademy S​quad for​ Red Bul​l Youth ​America'​s Cup

Seven talented, young, aspiring America's Cup sailors – with an average age of just 22– have been chosen to represent Great Britain this summer. Taking place in Bermuda, the host venue for the 35th America's Cup, the Red Bull Youth America's Cup (RBYAC) will see the Land Rover BAR Academy compete against eleven other national youth teams.

AC45 / Two pools of top young sailors for Red Bull Youth America’s Cup

Two pools of top young sailors from 12 countries will battle for a spot in the finals at June’s Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in Bermuda. Two-time Olympic Gold Medalists Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher have announced the lineups for the two pools of top national youth teams that will compete in the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in Bermuda this summer. As the Sport Directors for the innovative regatta for sailors aged 18 to 24, the legends from Austria flew to the America’s Cup Event Authority headquarters in Bermuda’s capital city, Hamilton, to make the blind draw among the 12 teams that had already been named to the event, with results as follows:

Americas'Cup / Ben Ainslie and Land Rover BAR win Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series

Land Rover BAR - the British challenge headed by Olympic legend Ben Ainslie - has won the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series with a first place finish at the ultimate event in Japan this weekend.

America's Cup / Tom Slingsby : "Jimmy Spithill is very talented and experienced. I know it won’t be easy but I’m looking forward to the opportunity."

ORACLE TEAM USA will have a new hand guiding the team around the race course during the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series in Toulon next week.

It really was Super Sunday for Ben Ainslie and Land Rover BAR whose second place in the last of Sunday’s three races gave them the overall regatta win at the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Portsmouth event.

AC45 / ETNZ launch their AC45 Turbo for the America's Cup, "This is hugely exciting" said Ashby

Emirates Team New Zealand celebrated a long awaited milestone today at their Beaumont Street base in Auckland by launching their first custom designed development boat. The 45 foot catamaran has been in the process of being built for the past six months and has taken a dedicated team of boat builders and sub contractors over 35,000 man hours to construct, with the main construction and assembly completed in house at the Emirates Team New Zealand base.

America's Cup / Emirates Team New Zealand steal the win but New York puts on the show

In a thrilling winner-take-all final race, Emirates Team New Zealand unhooked itself from a starting buoy to win the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series New York with the high score of 52 points.

Another large crowd, estimated at 100,000, turned out on a sunny day and was treated to some very unpredictable racing. This after over 75,000 came out on Saturday.

AC45 / Oracle capzised during training in Bermuda, "it looks like we had minimal damage" Jimmy Spithill

All crew are safe and the ORACLE TEAM USA AC45S test platform is secure back at base following a capsize during training in Bermuda on Wednesday afternoon.




It was a great day for training, sunny, 15-20 knots of wind,” said skipper Jimmy Spithill. “So it was a great afternoon of sailing until we capsized.

America's Cup / T2's Ben Ainslie AC45 capsizing during training on the Solent

Whilst out training on the Solent today, the team’s test boat T2 capsized off of Ryde, Isle of Wight. The boat, was righted quickly and no team members were injured.

Max Sirena brings over 20 valuable years of America’s Cup experience primarily as a sailor with Luna Rossa but also a strong technical knowledge having won the 33rd America’s Cup as wing manager for BMW Oracle racing.

America's Cup / Artemis Racing Touch Down in Bermuda

Artemis Racing became the first America’s Cup challenger to launch its AC45 development catamaran in Bermuda last week. The Swedish team’s wing-sail foiling AC45 Turbo began sea trials in the Great Sound on Tuesday after being launched from its new temporary base at the Royal Naval Dockyard.

AC45 / She's flying ! Franck Cammas : "An increasing number of boats are using foils."

There are some dates that are immediately etched on your memory, ones you'll remember for a long time to come. This 7 May is one such date for Franck Cammas and for Groupama sailing team with the first launch and the first flying sessions by the one-design catamaran Groupama 45, which is set to participate in the first event of the America's Cup World Series in three months' time alongside the world's top teams.

America's Cup / Oracle, the first team to sail on AC45 in Bermuda (ITW)

On Monday, the defending champion of the America’s Cup launched its training boat for the first time and put in over two hours of testing on the future race course of the America’s Cup.

Today is the first day for our AC45 out on the Great Sound. We’ve been working towards this moment for nearly six months since Bermuda was announced as the venue,” said Tom Slingsby, the sailing team manager and tactician for the team.

AC35 / Team Japan announces challenge for 2017 America’s Cup

SoftBank Corp. and the Kansai Yacht Club announced they have come to an agreement to challenge for the 2017 America’s Cup. As SoftBank Team Japan, the team will compete in the 2015 America’s Cup World Series events, and challenge for the 2017 America’s Cup in Bermuda.

The campaign was confirmed today by Kazuhiko Sofuku, “Fuku”, a veteran of four previous America’s Cup campaigns who has been appointed as the team’s general manager.
