ITW / Artemis designer, Loick Peyron : "No one agrees"

You won’t find an America’s Cup sailor with the depth and breadth of experience of Loïck Peyron. Now in his second campaign with Artemis Racing, he is nominally listed as a ‘designer’. But the French legend is much more than this, providing a vital link between the sailing and design worlds.

America's Cup / Energy Team will not enter the 34th America's Cup

Bruno and Loick Peyron have made their mind up. In less than a year, Energy Team has managed to raise themselves up to join the best teams in the world in the preparatory circuit for the America's Cup. Sharing a place on the podium at the end of the first season in the America's Cup World Series with Oracle Team USA and Emirates Team New Zealand, the team led by Bruno and Loïck Peyron have decided to commit themselves to a second season of racing with some new ambitions, but in order to ensure their future, they have decided not to go ahead with the idea of starting work on the construction of an AC72 with a limited budget. Energy Team will also be entering a youth team, comprising a number of young talented sailors, the selection of which is underway, in order to compete in the Youth America's Cup in September 2013 in San Francisco.

America's Cup / Energy Team has 30 days to go to the dead-line

Will France be represented in the next America’s Cup in July 2013 in San Francisco? There are just 30 days left before the final decision must be taken. As for the Challenger, ENERGY TEAM set up by Loïck and Bruno Peyron is ready and over the past year has raised itself up to the highest standard, with a magnificent victory in Venice last month. But they are still lacking the required backing. In other words the support of one or more firms that are bold enough to join this French challenge in the world’s most prestigious sailing competition.

Rolex Fasnet Race / The Maxi Banque Populaire V storming the Fastnet !

Few weeks after scoring on the British Isles Record, the Maxi Banque Populaire V and her crew are preparing to set sail again towards the English shores. On 14 August, Loïck Peyron and his men will get off on one of the most legendary offshore racing events, the Everest of Anglo-Saxon sailing, the Rolex Fastnet Race. On the agenda, a start in the Solent led by hundreds of yachts of all sizes and for all, a grail, a goal, the famous Irish lighthouse. Difficult, often inflexible, this course is built for performance. Enough to urge the Team Banque Populaire who will take part in it for the first time with the giant trimaran.
