The committee of the Club Nautique de Versoix has been able to launch only one race in very light winds this morning. The race took place in only 2-5 knots of wind which is nevertheless sufficient for the D35, 1200 kg of incredible technology, featuring spectacular sail surfaces, allowing sailing faster than the wind!

Realstone Sailing confirms its No. 1 position signing a new race victory today in front of Veltigroup and Artemis Racing skippered by Torbjorn Tornqvist, with Paul Cayard at the tactics. Realstone has won two stages of the Vulcain Trophy presented by Business and Decision in one weekend!

Good performance for Veltigroup today with a second place in the only race of the day. A nice weekend for Marco Simeoni’s team, with a great Geneva-Rolle-Geneva race yesterday. The helmsman Boris Lerch commented: “We are better in light air because we have to make fewer maneuvers. This year we have a new team that has had little opportunity to sail together and we suffer as soon as we need good coordination, like in quick maneuvers.“

Note also the performance of Okalys-Corum, who finished in fourth position of today’s race, while the boat was dismasted during the Genève-Rolle-Genève yesterday. The mast has been replaced in the evening and the boat was on the starting line this morning. Nicolas Grange says: “It was a mixed weekend. We’re a little frustrated because we did a very good first part of the race yesterday at the Genève-Rolle-Genève, but we have been pleased to sail at least one race with the new mast before the Bol d’Or Mirabaud. We are now reassured that we can participate! ”

The overall ranking after four stages (one deleted – as per the rules) goes as follows: Realstone Sailing dominates insolently the championship with 3 points, followed by Alinghi (8 pts), level on points with Ladycat. This trio is followed by Artemis Racing (10 pts) and De Rham Sotheby’s (10 pts). The following are neck and neck with Veltigroup (17 pts), Zen Too (18 pts), Okalys Corum (19 pts) and Nickel (24 pts).

The sailors can now prepare their boats for the most important race of the season, at least symbolically, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, which will be held Saturday, June 16. Let’s meet at 10 o’clock sharp off the Nautique in Geneva to see one of the best shows that the Lake can offer: a starting line packed with over 600 boats!
